Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actor and performer whose performance varied performances earned her the acclaim of fans in a variety of categories ranging from period dramas to thriller and action adventure. Johansson, the daughter of a film producer and an architect, was born within New York City. Hunter Her twin and Johansson both were the youngest of four kids. When she was seven, she was making auditions for commercials on television. She enrolled shortly after at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later was a student at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan for further training in her craft. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she was in the role of Ethan Hawke at age 8 In North, produced by Rob Reiner in 1994 she began her film debut. Johansson appeared next with Ethan Hawke in Just Cause (1996), however it was Manny & Lo 1996 that gave her a breakthrough. The film is about two teenage girls wandering off. Her next film won critical praise for her character as an adolescent who suffers a disfiguring accident within The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention as cynical teen outcast Rebecca In Ghost World (2001). Renee Felice Smith started her profession in the entertainment industry when she was a teenager. At the age of a young girl, she was intrigued by performing. Smith's parents were supportive of her having her first performance in the age of six. Smith was in a television commercial for Dannon yogurt. As with many actresses who started out, she decided to perfect her craft in the world of theatre. She worked on various USA initiatives while also getting her stage debut in the company of Wildflower. She received her education at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
